Mission Fro Yo

We love fro yo around here!  I could seriously eat it every single day.  A few weeks ago I was inspired to figure out how to make my own fro yo (without an ice cream maker – because who wants to clean up THAT mess!)!  The strategy – combine ingredients in blender then stick it in the freezer.

Fro Yo Take 1:

  • Frozen Strawberries
  • Frozen Pineapple
  • Milk
  • Sugar
  • Lemon Juice
  • Plain Yogurt

Fro Yo Take 2:

  • Frozen Pineapple
  • Frozen Mango
  • 1 Can Coconut Milk
  • Plain Yogurt
  • Sugar

Fro Yo Take 3:

  • Vanilla Yogurt
  • 3 Frozen Bananas
  • Peanut Butter
  • Cocoa Powder
  • A little bit of sugar (the bananas added a lot of sweetness)

The Review

The best was definitely Fro Yo Take 1.  Take 2 was also good, but needed a little more flavor.  Also, I forgot to add in the lemon juice and for texture purposes I would try and remember it the next time.  Fro Yo take 3 was the worst – nothing impressive.  However I’m putting what’s left to good use by scooping some into the Magic Bullet and blending with milk for a tasty, chocolate frozen treat!  And I’d actually make it again solely for that purpose!
